I was reasing the interview with Gabe and it seems that there are going to be different version released in stores, like SP only and one with SP and multiplayer... I reserved a copy and I'm worried now, I don't know which I'm goign to get, can someone clarify this for me?

and i want multiplayer too, i don't want to have to use that steam crap to get it

Probably one you don't want, or maybe they'll let you choose, we don't really know.

You won't need to use "that Steam crap" to get it.

You've most likely reserved the SP/MP copy. If not you can probably just exchange it on the release day.

If you do accidently buy the SP Only version, you can always upgrade via Steam. (The SP Version is cheaper and you'd have to pay the difference to get Multiplayer).

I really dont know what i reserved, i just told the guy i want to reserve HL2 and i gave him 5$ and he gave me a little stub

As long as you check before leaving the store, you should be fine.

I've ordered off Gameplay.co.uk and we've already had someone address the issues, which is good.

I had a bad experience preordering a game from GAME but that was about 6/7 years ago so it probably doesn't apply.

Basically, my mum ordered a game (Tie Fighter Expansion Pack) and went in on the release date and asked for it. They told her that they'd sold out. What is the point of preordering if they just sell it anyway?

My mum wasn't happy but she went to HMV and there were lots of copies there.

oh, thats easy, the SP/MP is about $50, and the SP only is about $20, so use that to judge. =)
