Matrix Online Gold
when I first heard that they were making a Matrix online game I was pretty excited ..it sounded really good at the time ..but I've steadily lost interest in the last few months ..I downloaded the beta twice but never installed it, just couldnt be bothered. Seems that there's very little interest for this game ...anyone know why? has anyone played the betas? can anyone give us impressions as to why this game sucks or not?

yeah, i played the beta for about a week and then i just didn;t care, i let it sit on my comp a few weeks til last night when i just uninstalled it, not worth my time or money, i was pretty hyped for a bit though, oh well
maybe it's just that i don;t like MMOs, they just get boring, same stuff over and over, i like the faction idea and everything, but all the missions feel the same, the combat was pretty nice

I stopped caring about all things Matrix related once I saw the second movie for the first time. Talk about being a witness to a train wreck. I also despise MMOs.

The Matrix Online beta is almost completely empty from what I've heard, doesn't sound like much fun.

same here, it just doesn't appeal to me for some reason, hard to explain

Nope.
I think they ruined it when they saturated the market with the collection figure box set thingy.
Or when they made more than one movie.

The problem is that we know the story, the Matrix never ends, it just reboots. There's a truce. Thats it.... not much point in playing the game. Atleast WoW has a story, and a damn good one at that. :) Plus the whole fantasy feel which i like, Matrix Online will just be City of heroes without the funny suits.... but worse.

I don't care at all. The comments I read about the beta weren't very positive. I'm sticking to WoW as my MMO of choice.

I liked the Matrix, and Reloaded.
I do not like Revolutions, and the game, Enter the Matrix.
Didn't play Enter the Matrix very long before disliking it.
As for Online, I think I nievely thought they'd make improvements to push it ahead of a lot of the competition.
My hopes are fading for it.
I'm gonna wait for the reviews, I might be pleasantly suprised, but I doubt it.
The Matrix got overcapitalised :(
Good concept but it lost the plot, so to speak.
If you believe the rumours, the Wachowski's didn't even write the first Matrix, merely edited a stolen script.
Either way, 2 and 3 were crap.
As for MMO's, there loads of original and successful ones around for people to be bothered with this cash in.

"The specialists" for HL1 was more fun than every matrix game combined.

meh, MMORPGs are dumb anyway. I'll stick to my SP games thank you.
The game was quite bad based off the betas

i dont care.--- reason well its easy games like BF 2 are coming out and brothers in arms fear and well you know.
I don't care about MMORPGs, and I certainly don't care about games based on The Matrix. 2 - 2 = 0.

i played the beta for like 3 hours, and then I really had enough of those crappy graphics, of the combat system, and of endlessly opening doors ...
this game sucks, period.

It looks pretty awesome. But needing your credit card info to sign up for beta? Nah.

Don't care :P
Tried the beta for like 3 hours and got bored. It felt too empty and nothing like the Matrix. There were hardly any players and it didn't really grab my attention like WoW did.

I dunno, its like Matrix Online lacks charisma or something. I don't think I've seen anybody excited about that game which tells you volumes.
I don't really give a care......

I forgot they were even making it:x, so many other great games coming out taht i just simply dont care anymore. If i want RPG goodness, i'll wait for Elders scrolls: Oblivion, now thats an rpg.

I almost did not enter this topic so no I'm not that interested :E I was though, when the last movie had gone up in the cinema but after seeing it, well you can figure the rest out yourselves ;) Was pretty hyped to finally see what happened after the somewhat crappy ending (though somehow kinda fitting) but now... Nah I just don't give a rat's ass anymore :) With some luck, the story will be "leaked" onto the Internet anyway so everyone can see how it really ends. In like 20 years.
