Sierra has updated their website. Unforetunately it now says
F.E.A.R.™ PC Fall 2005 (http://www.sierra.com/product.do?gamePlatformId=1833)
that means there'll be a bit of a void in quality games being released during the summer ...I think bf2 is the only AAA game coming out this summer that I know of
hopefully I'll have Stalker to keep me busy till then

no ..no, dont say that ...no I dont think so ..oh please god no
edit:
The German THQ website carries word that STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl has been delayed. The game, which was previously scheduled for release during May 2005, now has no specific date...just a "when it's done". No reason is given, however, GSC's Oleg Yavorsky was pleased with the outcome of this announcement.
ummm I dont know what that means but hopefully it wont go down the Duke nukem route

I agree ...as long as they deliver what they've been promising
625 square kilometres world with no loading seems unattainable ...but what the hell do I know? I'm just a fanboy :)
*cries on CptSterns shoulder*
Oh god why?!?!?Why did they have to delay it!?!?

GAH!!!!!!! I wish every company would use the "when its done" from the start of the project, its a lot easier on people.

I'm not that sad. I was already wondering how I was going to play BF2 and FEAR at the same time. Seems like it's only BF2 now.

I saw this delay coming a mile away. Doesn't mean that doesn't make me pissed though. People were getting low FPS in the MP beta, maybe they are fixing this low FPS?

You can look at this two ways
1) That sucks its not coming out in May
or
2) They are really trying to make this a triple A game.
Though I suspect reason number 3 - Their graphics engine isn't very "efficient" and needs faster hardware before it will run smooth.

These delays are nothing new to my ears. Almost every anticipated game always gets delayed.

heh freeman if you buy the game and a 2 month play card it's worth it ..you get 3 months of gametime NCIX has the game card on sale for $28 ...AND since NCIX is in bc you dont have to pay provincial sales tax ...I signed up played for a few months canceled my subscription and now I'm waiting till Battlegrounds is implemented before I use up my game card

the fear i have is liking WoW too much...and well, getting addicted :x
getting addicted and then not having the cash for the addiction..well that kinda blows ya know? :(
point is, eventually i won't be able to afford it when it comes time to re-new the subscription...did i mention addiction? :)
anyway, back on topic...i was so looking forward to Fear..now more wait bleh :|
CptStern
11-03-2005, 05:49 PM
yes ..I guarentee you'll become addicted ..I really dont have that much time to play (after 3 months I'm still on my first character at lvl 30). The game is that good
but yes back to fear ...so it's not delayed now?

That just confirms even further that the whole "Fall 2005" was probably just a small mixup. They seemed to have fixed it by yesterday evening when I checked that link.
