It got a decent review from ign.com of an 8.5 and a so-so review of 7.2 from gamespot.com. Overall it's looking better than average and a worthwhile purchase.

Overall at gamerankings.com it's pulling an 85%..very nice.

I've been playing it for about a week now - great for short bursts of insane fun :) But not one to sit down and play for hours at a time.

Wario is a game designed to be played on the move, or with friends. For this it's perfect. It's probably not a good buy if you play most of your DS games on your own at home.

Still, excellent game :)

imo there's still a greater no. of decent DS games out at the moment than the PSP offers (Lumines and Ridge Racer being the only half decent titles out at the mo)

PSP costs way too much money. No way.

As mentioned...Yoshi's Touch and Go looks great as does Sonic DS. Madden is fun. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I love my DS and have mixed feelings about the PSP...even after having extended time with one....I'm worried I'll get bored with it. It's honestly just more of the same...thx, but no thx for $250. That's insanity.

Well, to each his own. I've played both and find the DS to be a much more fullfilling experience in gaming so forgive me if I express doubt.

I don't believe we'll be somparing the DS and the PSP in the end. I think the true fight is going to be the next GameBoy vs the PSP as the DS is not the successor to the GameBoy Advance.

Damn right - it's needed in a forum like this ;) (pc games forums are where the majority of the worlds gfx whores live)

Also, I do like the PSP (even though it has few good games out at the moment) and will pick one up as soon as great games start coming out for it. (Lumines is fantastic though :))

I didn't buy a DS because I wanted a handheld, though - but because I wanted something new (surely ppl can understand that this?) The PSP is very neat, and a great buy if you want something that looks sexy, can play mp3/movies/games. But when it comes to pure fun and innovative gaming, I prefer the DS. (when I want to play Ridge Racer i'll do so on a big TV, not a tiny screen)

Who gives a sh!t. I'll watch movies on a screen I can actually see them on. I'll listen to my MP3s on a quality MP3 player I already own, not some overpriced, peice of junk handheld with sticky buttons. If I want to play Playstation games, lol yeah like that would ever happen, I'd buy an inferior console the PS2. Personally I feel that the whole Playstation line of products are wildly inferior to their competition.

There is cutting edge, top of the line PC gaming and then there is everything else. Everything else is a jumbled mess of similarity. At least the DS has the balls to try somthing truley unique and innovative. The PSP really goes out on a limb doesn't it? Typical Sony follow the leader crap.

Even more impressive is that even in the midst of the PSPs initial launch...the DS was still selling about as much as the PSP in Japan. The PSP only recently took a sales lead for the first time over there and it was only by a few thousand units. Doesn't exactly back up what you're saying. The DS and PSP are neck and neck over there, but Nintendo already had a 2.4 million system head start......hmmmm...this is familiar....Sony wins because they've had like a year headstart on all their consoles....not this time.

Games sales haven't been poor by any means.

So far i've greatly enjoyed Mario 64, Band Bros and Wario Ware (the lineup is stronger than the PSP's at the moment) My copy of Yohsi's Touch and Go has just been shipped too ....... which looks like great fun. The future linup also looks very promising (Zelda and Metroid to name but a few)

I thought the Virtual Boy was innovative. It had a lot of potential, too. It's just that the release games weren't very good. Also, a lot of people shied away from it, mostly because it was a bit too different for them (such as all those rumors that it would give you eye cancer.) I can see how the DS is repeating history, in a sense. The starting line-up of games for the system wasn't stellar, and some people are turned-off by the strangeness of it, namely the 2nd touch screen.
I actually have a friend who doesn't like the DS because of it's apparent strangeness. He says that it "has too many bells and whistles." I laugh at him about it everyday. What is he, from the f*cking 18th century?

[EDIT]: I know some good games are coming very soon, like WarioWare and Yoshi (never heard of Band Bros.) Metroid looks nice, but isn't coming out till like freaking May. Haven't heard about the Zelda game, but it better be similar to the N64 version. That would kick ass.

Well I managed to get playing a DS at my local Game.

And frankly it really does kick. And as weird as it sounds, its one of the most natural ways to play games. Even if the stylus is attached by a retractable wire to the actual demonstration area.

But yeah the Demo of Warioware kicks butt.

It's not a console, it's a toy for kids and grown ups \o/

That's why I love the DS, it doesn't feel like any other gaming system out there - you can 'play' with it :)

I'm in Oxford on holiday at the moment, and so far all I've suceeding in doing is walk around, trying out every wario ware in Oxford while my parents look at churches. I've allready spent about half an hour playing (got to level 30 on one occasion), and I must say it's excellent. Warbie's absolutely right... the DS is to play with \o/ The games are so fun and so quick, it's the perfect toy to play with on a train jeorney.

Anyway, i'm gonna go and play on it now, as I'm in a small internet cafe in virgin megastore and I can see the DS from here. No-ones using it \o/

Nintendo kind of hinted at the Zelda game a little while ago. Someone asked about any plans for an addition to the Zelda series on the DS...and whoever was up there speaking said we could do an Ocarina of Time remake...or something to that effect.

My guess is that there will be an OoT remake before anything new for Zelda comes out. Off to get WarioWare...later all.

I showed this game to my girlfriend, who is med-major. She told me this game can cause ADD. Apparently, many doctors blame ADD on television, because all of the changing images cause people's minds to change focus constantly. Warioware is like that, only 100 times worse.

Not like I care. I love this game.
