So let me get this straight. In a FFA custom game (which the guy had to be invited into) some guy falls asleep...everybody drops what they are doing and messes with him a little. Then they finish their game, start another one and mess with him even more...I don't buy it.

Somebody that plays in custom games in a party doesn't just fall asleep :rolleyes:

No, the snoring couldnt have been added in later, because you hear the guys laughing after each snore.

I am trying to convice my friend here that it's real... I honestly see how this ISN'T possible.

I dont think its like in Half-Life mods where you need to press down a button. I know you just put on a headset and I think people can hear you talk, dont think u need to press anything. If it is like that its very possible he could have fallen asleep. The guy could have been drinking then just crashed on the coach or something.

If he didn't press the white button whatever he says will go through in a small area so friend and foe can hear. If you press the white button it will pick up whatever you say and transmit only to your team, when you stop talking, it stops transmitting and it goes back to area speak.

I just bet these guys were messing with an afk friend and added the snoring to the video. I dunno what mic he has...but the default xbox live mic wouldn't pick up snoring that well...you'd have to snore almost deliberately into the mic for it to sound like that.

I can't even sleep in a moving vehicle, comfortably reclined in the seat unless i've been up so long I fall unconcious, let alone falling alseep at my desk playing a video game.

My personal belief is its fake, like the poster before me said with edited in snoring sound effects. I mean. Just how often are you recording sound and video in a game, let alone to have a guy be snoring while you are?

Uhh people, the snoring wasn't added because you see a voice transmit icon in the bottom.I was just gonna post that, indeed, the voice transmit icon shows that it's ingame, but what doesn't guarantee that they're friends and "faked" it? Perhaps played online but all decided before hand what to do? Kinda like "machinima"?:P

It is funny if you play the game, and know how they did all that stuff and what was going on. Also, if you think Halo 2 is boring that is probably only because you suck at it, or think it is boring.

And to whoever asked how the mic works, you can either use a button to talk, or if you talk loud enough, that activates it automatically, Which is what would have happened here.

In the first map they pushed the guy on a conveyor belt and watched him slowly(very slowly) fall down to the first level and then slowly go all the way to the part where he falls off the map. The second part they gathered what looks like all the explosive barrels on the map and put them in one spot. It is hard to move other players too, so everything they did took quite a while.

rofl, i'm still laughin. That was hillarious when they put him on that boost and sniped him.

And bvasgm, someone makes a refference about "I'd hate to have him in my room", implying that they heard the snore. And it's quite possible to fall asleep with the mic still near your mouth. So yeah, bvasgm, you're wrong.

And it's REALLY easy to fall asleep if you're tired enough. Just lay down on the bed, close your eyes for even 10 seconds, poof.

Can someone who knows the Xbox tell me, do you simply need to press a button, and then anything you say will be transmitted, without the need to hold down a button?

In other words, is talking a toggle button or a push/release button.
It's toggle on or off.
it's like having a telephone headset.

and with the mic off you can still hear people talking but they won't hear you.

When I do Team games over XBox live, I sing into the Mic about throwing grenades. People can hear, and they also laugh and say it was funny.

People do and say a lot over XBox live, "this is so funny", ranks as number 12 on the most said things over the live system. Ranked 12 of course, to number 11: "MEDIC!!!!"

Falling asleep during a game isn't anything that wierd, I fell asleep in EverQuest 1 late one night, thankfully I was just sitting in town and didn't have to worry about getting killed.

I just discovered Bungie.net stat tracking, Bungies amazing support for clans (they give them their own little page with a private forum and everything [ also clan stat tracking and stuff]). Also I just discovered how good the matchmaking system is and have gotten into a clan! The game supports voice messanging as well. I have really been into halo 2 lately and have finally pushed myself to finish the game (the ending was el doodoo though).
