I was thinking about getting this today. Can you give me opinions on if it's worth the money? Thanks

It's worth every dollar/euro/pound/<your currency>. It's a great game on itself, and there are mods galore.

I've been eyeing it as well, it's 30someish on newegg but 50 at my EB... but I prefer to buy things in person..

It's incredible. I'm not a huge strategy fan myself, but the incredible, visceral battles in Rome blow my mind. And the strategy used can be as complex or as simple as you want it to be. It's the strategy game for people who don't like strategy, the World of Warcraft of the strategy genre.

Buy it, darn you!

(Ok, I'll stop.)

I loved this game as well. It was amazing. Having said that though I got sick of it in about a week. I admittedly have a short attention span though.

After playing games like Civ and Empire Earth with tons of different units from different times, the whole Roman thing tired me out pretty quickly.

Again, I thought the game and depth of it was great.

Same for me, I love the game, it _is_ amazing, but I gave up on it after a few days.

It crashes every time you try and take over Austria and you go in some statistic menus, but thats easily rectified with the patch

Meh.
If you're a hardcore strategist...Yes.
If not, No.

I have it since Noel but haven't played it yet. But by seeing the intro, I can tell you that it looks really great

How is the multiplayer?

How is the multiplayer? It works very well - usually just deathmatch or seige situations, but the sheer huge battle sizes are fantastic. Surprisingly unlaggy, too.
