View Full Version : Fear My Ninja Mice!
srry for the crappy quality, but unfortionatly I am in the posession of a scanner, with the glass 1 cm deeper then the casing. So whenever I try to scan A3 sheets it gets folded, and that was not acceptable in this case because its an presentation character sheet.
Anyway, I had to take pics of them with my digi camera, wich explains the crappy quality, but someday I will find: A - A3 scanner, or B - something else do digitize a3 or bigger seized art
anyway, here they are

Nice work.
These are amazing. You've managed to capture the style and grace of japanese culture perfectly, and somehow managed to merge this with mice. mice! And yes, that is definately the guy from naruto. It's a sound village mouse! hehe :)
btw I think the poor quality photos add to the texture, as it makes the paper look like old parchment.

And yes, these where inspired by naruto, my Favo Anime/Manga, the irst one is a bit inspired from the 4th hokage's ninja gear he died in, and the 2nd was a mix between (indeed - StardogChampion) Dosu, and the 2nd Hokage
I will most likely add a female one to, might do that tomorrow, as I didn't really had the spirit to do one today (srry)

I am getting lazier by the minute, thats the real cause for me not posting mutch in this forum. Hopefully this little character project gets my ass in gear to create more art that I can post here.
There is one thing I have to start for my EXPOSE3 entry on CGtalk.com (my deadline is 20 february) so I have to get started on that soon. It will be a very nice piece that hopefully makes the selection (my mod related).

Are you on an Illustration/Art course EVIL? The drawings are seriously nice.
Did you colour the second one with watercolour? Also, what did you use for the outline?

Nah, I used art markers (Tria markers from LETRASET) for colouring, and high quality fine liners for the ink drawing (STAEDTLER Pigment liner - and come in various seizes, 0.05 mm to 0.8 mm and I think they have even thicker ones to). As you can or can't see, I use thicker ones for the outline and basic figure, and thinner liners for the finer details, like the wrapped cloth and stuff like that.
And nope, I currently following an education in Multimedia Visualizing (where I learn stuff like Webdesign, Audio video editing, and stuff like that), wich I am starting to really hate but I need the damn paper. After that I will most likely go to art school, tryng to get my figure drawing up to scratch and art theory. I am fully self tought, and there fore don't have a good firm art base.
And I am thinking about a carreer as an illustrator, maby even animator or might go in the gamedev bizz, as an Concept Artist.
so I still don't know exactly what I want to do, all 3 are really cool carreer path's
EDIT: LOL @ suicide, forgot about that one haha, glad you liked it :D, It was also the only art related thing I ever did for anyone on a messageboard EVER! Hope it fitted your alias well :)

Here they are, drew 2 female ninja mice, the first is your typical badass mysterious asian poision taster with 2 really big knives.
the 2nd is a normal ninja female
and 3rd I drew some of the weapons that are typical in the ninja hystory. Most I did not knew about if it wasnt for the series naruto.

You said those things at the bottom are different ninja weapons... but I fail to see how you could injure someone effectively with a scroll. And I don't think that "beat-them-over-the-head-repeatedly" is very ninja like :P
weapons items whatever, just some "ninja-tools"
scrolls contain fighting techniques, ingredients for medecine and what not

anywho evil you scan pieces of the a3 and then re-arrange them in ps i had to do it for one of my sisters pieces its a bit of work tho ....
as for the designs NICE WORK i love the stylised look of them ...its really nice ...

I know I can, but I cant damage the paper because its for a presentation, and because the glass of the scanner is imbedded 1 cm into the casing, the paper would get folded if i tried.

btw i have the same prop scanning some books .... waht i do is i put the lights off and dont cover the scanner u might want to close ur eyes when the scanning is going on tho ..its just something to try ....
you could always edit in photoshop ...

im really sorry for the double post but i felt i should say this i hate it when people put themselves down and stuff as you can plainly see that this vilan type char doesnt show drawing talent it shows designing talent the lines are round and are based of off a circle ...not too much detail but enough to lend an idea about the structure .... im sure u can draw like that pressure u just have to try

Awesome artwork. I like the "poison taster" the best; really nice design on that one. Question though...why isn't the big tough guy a cat? Or better yet, since they're mice and inspired by Naruto, why not have the badguy be a snake that looks like Orochimaru?

A lizard would be more apporpriate in my opinion. Snakes are just silly.... Who cares if orochimaru is like a snake guy? Sasuke isn't a mice guy, but he would be drawn as a mouse in this situation ^_^
As I said before, its not a full representation of naruto, its just a tad inspired by it, I am not planning to draw every naruto character as a mouse.
Anyway, plans have changed a bit, I now need to draw 2 characters, the first is a white hero mouse, and the other is a dark villan rat
They might find their way into a flash game we are hoping to create that will go on the website of the project.
Anyway, getting quite busy the coming days, I still have to create my expose piece. I already know how I want it, so its only a mather of creating it. Plus I got some stupid little assignment that has to be finished before next wednesday.
After that I got a huge website planned for my full next gen game.
I am in the works of starting up a independant game dev company also, so thats pretty exiting stuff.
Anyway, I hope I can show you guys some of the neat conceptart soon once we are ready to announce :)
