You know the power-chord heavy metal / rock music (like the Doom / DoomII Soundtrack) that makes excellent gaming music?

Well could you reccommend some tracks that make excellent gaming music (not too heavy)

When I say gaming music I don't mean music that softly plays in the background whilst playing a RPG, I mean music you blast out at max volume whilst rampaging with a PARA in CS Source. :sniper:

I'll start the ball rolling with the only real one I know of...

Dope - Debonaire

I'd also like to add that i'll be blasting out this music rather loudly (Z680s :D) and so it would be nice if the vocals were less than offensive? :)

Dude, listen here. Metallica - Ride the Lightning, that's right the whole CD. Kick it up and kick some ass!

I was going to get those speakers. How are they?

Edit: The lyrics are clean on Ride the Lightning too.

Nothing is better than fast paced metal to get some blood flowing while playin an FPS.

Loud ... I have the volume at 25% and the subwoofer at 10% and its still enough to shake the house ... When I got them, I tested out how loud I could make them go, I got near 75% vol and 50% sub and just didnt dare go any further for fear of breaking something... (no distortion either!!!)

Simply awesome speakers, oooooodles of power, more than you can imagine :)

Yea, that's the speaker system I'm going to get when I make my new computer later this year or next year. I'm also gonna get a killer set of headphones for those quiet times, like night lol :).

Rob Zombie- Dragula
Rob Zombie- Superbeast
Prodigy- Firestarter
Prodigy- Breathe (I think tis called that.)

The Black Mages - Maybe I'm A Lion

I'm not a big fan of final fantasy music mixes or whatever, but damn this kicks ass. Its the first song I've actually had the instinctual impulse to headbang to.

American Head Charge's "Plege Allegiance" is absolutely brilliant for it. :D "STAND UP AND MARCH, GET BACK IN LINE AND FIGHT! (yyyyyeeeeeeeehaaaww!!)" It's like some sort of nightmarish marching band music. "Cowards" as well, which is just mad.

Hehe, they had the video on MTV2 in the UK for a bit a few years ago. It wasn't very popular, and tended to only appear late at night, but I loved it. :D I've yet to find a copy of the album it's from though, or any Revolver album for that matter. Annoyance! That song has been amongst my favourites in my mp3 collection. :)

Motorhead are awesome in an oldskool way :D

Prodigys new album is awesome to blast out whilst playing games, but like someone said the older stuff is heavier and tends to boost the frag-count that little bit more. Breathe and Firestarter are just perfect :D

Rob Dougan is also awesome, especially Fourious Angels (the instrumantal and the vocal mixes)

Lost Prophets also awesome - and I checked out "Revolver - Sucks to be you" ... its good, but a bit heavy on the vocals I think. I guess death metal aint really my cup of tea, but drums and bass (the more bass the better) is just a real rampage inducer :D

Actually, Rage Against the Machine always gets me pumped. Ashes in the Fall is just the sickest song for that sort of thing. There might be couple "bad words" there, though... whatever.
