Sweet news, to anyone who likes System of a Down but didn't know. They have two new cds coming out this year. Hypnotize and Mesmorize. They are saying early March for the first release.

The song "Cigaro" has been leaked from one of the albums, oh man it rocks! I can't wait, anyone else dying with anticipation like me? Cigaro freakin' rocks.... Hurry up March!

Leaked? I just this minute heard it on the radio. Student radio, mind you, they say everyone else are too gay to play it as it has the word "cock". Pretty different, sounds more like their Steal This Album stuff which isn't too comforting. However, a mate of mine has just saw them live and said the new tracks they played were amazing, and that this was more of a 'joke' track. Still a cool song, though.

Yay SOAD!

hmmm well the site that linked to it said it was leaked... Maybe its a been released to radio, but if that was the case wouldn't there be censored versions floating around? Eh I dunno....

Yeah it does sound semi steal this album, but at least they haven't went soft yet.

Cigaro is brilliant. :D It's similar to Chic 'n' Stu in absurity levels. But better. :)

Even though it is pretty quirky, everything sounds really tight in this song... almost too tight... which means the album(s) could go either of two ways - Professional or Overproduced. Don't let us down, SOAD!

Cigaro was.. confusing.

I'm not the biggest fan of SOAD. I'll likely download the two (why two albums in a year? Sounds like a cash grab to me...) albums, listen to one of them, then never refer to them ever again. ;)

Daron (guitar player) on "Cigaro":

"In 'Cigaro,' I'm not really singing about my cock, I'm singing about an ego based attitude that's out there, "Why does one person have the right to go and kill, and when another person kills, he's a terrorist? Is it because I have a bigger army than you? How do we differentiate that? Some people will take it in a sexual way and some people will think about it a bit more."(Source :www.93x.com)

And as for the why two albums in one year thing, they said they had over 30 songs when they went into the studio. The singer said they made the decision to release two seperate albums because all the songs are unique to them and they felt that people would get bored or over look certain tracks if they had one mega packed cd. I kind of agree.... This way i'll have 15 songs to listen to and when i'm burnt out on them i'll have 15 more. :)

Cigaro is an utter masterpiece. If the rest of the songs on their new Cds are as good as this, we're in for an incredible year.

It's my opinion that SOAD suffers from CCS "Coal Chamber Syndrome". Every song sounds the same. I still like SOAD however.

lol @ coal chamber syndrome... Thats ok with me though, as long as the song that every other song sounds like rocks, then we're good right!

Some songs on Toxicity did kinda blur together at times, eg. I always have to be reminded which one is Forest and which is Science  Still, all that matters is that they rock, and rock hard.

It sounds like the guitar work is much more deeper this time around since there last "real" album. I also like the fact that they are alternating between vocalists to keep songs interesting.

Cigaro is great. Can't wait for the release.

I like their more serious songs on Toxicity. Forest, Psycho, Aerials and Toxicity. They are brilliant. Daron is such a good writer and musician. It`s a shame that he plays heavy stuff almost.

I can't wait for the new CDs to come out. I'm one of the few people who actually liked their Steal this Album CD. As for coming out with 2 CDs because there were too many songs it kinda reminds me of what Metallica did with Load and Reload.

One of the few? I liked it by far the most out of all of their CDs, and from talking with my friends, they did too.

With me most people I know only liked the Toxicity CD. I have on friend who hates SoaD so much he won't listen to any of their songs lol.
