I was looking through my copy of Raising the Bar, and suddenly decided to draw something. What I came up is obviously derived from various pieces of concept art (I'll let you figure out which ones), and though it isn't all that original, I do like how it turned out. Comments are welcome.

That some how reminds me of Dr.Seuss...dunno why :PSeuss' strange creature designs may have played a subliminal role - I was a big fan of his stuff when I was younger. :o

I'll see about doing something else later today, but I have to study for math (damned midterms), so I may be delayed in that.

I drew something for half-life, but it wasn't as nearly as hairy or "blobby" as that
It kind've resembles Pac Man

Looks really good! :)
It doesnt look like that poor alien creature would get any far in his life though, slugging around heh. :P

Seuss... the toddler's Giger

Looks good to me- almost like official concept art (for the reasons you've already pointed out, but meh). Looks like a hybrid between a D&D beholder, a Xen plant and a barnacle...

I don't think Ive ever seen a hairy Xenian. They're all amphibious, or vaguely resembling that

Cool drawing.. Although it doesn't really make "sense"
Tongues are used by definition to help ingestion, and taste.. It looks like if it tried to put it's tounge in it's mouth... ouch... those are some sharp teeth :p

Also, I don't see why it has sharp teeth anyway... Oh well. You can't really use logic on made up creatures :p

Nice work.

Nice work. :thumbs:Logic wasn't even existent in my mind when I made it. ;)

I'm going to get something new up later today, most likely, now that exams are over. I've done a few other things since (on the backs of exam papers, of course), so there's a few fresh ideas hanging around.

I hate to double-post, but for some reason I can't edit the original. In any case, for the two of you who care, my scanner isn't working properly, so I won't have a picture up today, and perhaps not for a few more days. Sorry about the delay.
