Wallpapers?

Hey, i'd like to take som photographs and make them into wallpapers, but what size should they be, and do i need to do something to them so they work on different resolutions?

800x600
1024x768
(1280x1024)

They're standard. I would usually go for 1024x768, but some people have bigger, and a few have smaller. Best to make 1024x768 and a seperate one for 1280x1024

but won't it affect the quality if i make them too big?

Start big and then reduce them. Don't use scan lines or resizing them will result in an ugly moire effect. like looking through a fresnel lens.

its 1280x960 to keep the 4:3 ratio, not 1280x1024....

That was from my fav pic I got from some website a long while ago...cant remember where, though :P I got even more disturbing ones :D

its 1280x960 to keep the 4:3 ratio, not 1280x1024....

It works perfectly on my computer and others
I would stick with 1024x768 though
