The first and second one look awsome, but the third looks like just some guy on the d3 forums bragging.

Why do you say that? It's just a community project to see if they can get Doom 3 to render large, well lit out door environments. It's a pretty interesting endeavor I think. They've made some good progress too.
Though it's more of a technical experiment than a playable mod.

The first and second look stunning, third looks like "doom 3 can do it too, at a whopping 5 fps (and it's not even close to STALKER quality)". I'm not impressed by it, sure it's all nice and dynamic, but it's lifeless, and I don't mean textures and people walking around, I mean the lighting, STALKER does a much better job at this.

Funny how everybody is implementing a grav-gun or something like that. The Hexen mod has it, the Doom III expansion will have it.

Ya, it was one of the Hexen mod team members that made the grav gun mod for Doom 3.

A "gravity gun" is a natural extension of more intricate physics systems. There comes a point where physics go from neat to unnecessary overkill, unless you give the player some way of manipulating them. We are at that point now. It is natural that future games and mods include physics guns, and it doesnt indicate a lack of creativity or that developers are ripping Valve off. Valve just happened to be the first to impliment it in a noticeable way.

The question isn't wether Stalker can do it too, or if Stalker can do it better. The question is wether the Doom3 engine can do it, and it can. The stale art doesn't change that. Don't forget these guys are just amateures who love the game, they aren't pros or even trained artists. They do the best they can. And that so many people have united and spent countless hours creating something out of love for the game, something that large communities of gamers said wasn't possible on the Doom3 engine, that may not impress you but it damn sure impresses me.
Definitley looking forward the 'The Dark Mod', loved Thief : DS and hope this will be good.
