HL source problem

HL2 works great on my pc but HL source crashes when i begin a new game at the loading screen. Anyone know how to fix this?
In the propeties it says the game is 99% complete so does this have anything to do with it. Thankyou in advance for your help.

don't worry. I've got it working but the graphics arn't anything like HL2. Is this normal?

Yup, A MOD team will probably overhaul the graphics.
