server problem

i hope someone can help ok here goes my clan has just bought a dedicated server for css the server is up and running but when i use the rcon_password to login to the rcon like to change a map it switches the map but not on our server it takes me to someone else's server that is running the map i've typed in to change on our server. If this makes any sense can someone please help me?? thanks mdhbg livewire

What I suspect you are doing is logging in to rcon and then typing "map mapname" right? If so, your problem is that the map change command is being sent to your machine, which then loads the map (So it looks like a different server. What you need to do is put 'rcon' in front of every command you want to send to the server. (I think thats how it works, I'm not overly familiar with rcon myself)

If the server you are sent to is not empty, ignore this, its not the cause of your problem.
