Where do i put my maps

I've downloaded DM_Dockside beta. I was just wondering where I put the map?

X:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\username\half-life 2 Deathmatch\hl2mp\maps

Is where Im guessing, but any advice would be great.

i have no idea what i'm doing with this all...how do i get a map pack to work?

You have to download the map you require, then extract it using XP, winzip or Winrar to the following directory:

C:\*\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\username**\half-life 2 Deathmatch\hl2mp\maps

* = You're own folder location and then \Valve etc etc

** = Whatever your username is

Then open up DM and connect to a server which has the map running. This should be all you need if not let me know.

But recently with the new maps around, you should just be able to click on the server with the new map, then HL2 DM will download the file (Time / connection permitting) and let you play the game.
