Is there a way to record gameplay w/o using an external program like fraps or gamecam?

Just use 3rd party progs, it's always better.

what im askings for realy is, Will the game itself record gameplay or like make a replay video that i can watch or something?

Check out how to make demos here:

Then, when playing back the demo, type startmovie "moviename" in the console to begin recording frames. It will drop tga files for each frame in the HL2 root folder, plus a wav file with the sound from it. You can put those files into a video editing program to create a video.

Do a search for a more detailed explanation. It's always better to search first. Much easier for you.
