Anyone play Warhammer 40k?

I'm really interested in the Warhammer 40k universe. I would make my own army and what not if I had the money and the ability to paint and make them. Just wondering if anyone plays.

I never go into the stores because the people that work at comic book/(whatever warhammer is) stores are always elitist bastards who think that since you dont like comics or japanese "culture" you are stupid. Bunch of tools.

£3 for a general unit? Just go out and buy a tub of green army men for £1, plus u get tanks, medics, etc.

DEATH eVADER is right! Me and my brother play Warhammer 40k (just started, like week ago). Just buy the basic box, it comes with rules and other useful stuff. Then decide with what army are you gonna play, then buy the codex. You don't need the minatyres! We just bought those plastic toy soldier bags. Well the line of sight can be tricky some times. And then you can slowly buy your army if you want.

Yeah, getting about 500 points worth of miniatures costs $150 AUD, it only really gets expensive when you want the super 'Noughts and monsters.
