Hey, don't know if this is the right forum so if not sorry...
just thought i'd share a little secret (or maybe it's a bug. yeah it's a bug) from the sandtraps level.
I'd just got the pheropods and my little antlions were bouncing along behind me - :bounce: - and the next bit of the level loaded as i walked through the tunnel. For some reason though (i think one of my antlions had stopped bouncing) i walked back and the previous bit of the level reloaded. And i had 4 antlions instead of 2! Which was nice. Now I haven't fully tested this cos my computer's preeetty slow and the loading takes while but i figure maybe if you keep doing this you can build up an army of antlions to take to the Nova place which i have forgotten the name of. Anyone wanna step up to the challenge? I'd love to know more. Hope it's not just me or I've been wasting valuable gaming time while the ol ball and chain is asleep.

Antlions automatically appear. Up to 6 can come at any time.

Well you may have found out by now olver that as you get a bit further in from that point you can get many more antlions join you anyway, by using the pheropods.
Sorry to be a kill joy but at least it gave you something to think about while the ol ball and chain was asleep.
Welcome to the forum anyway :)
Just posted then seen MiccyNarc beat me to it, never mind at least you got two answers nearly the same

HL Source is worth it, it has changed a fair bit and there are some surprises to be found :)

A lot of the enemy soldiers are now in different locations in HL1 or not there at all. There are some new scripted animations that replace old ones, and some levels are a bit harder and different due to the new physics :p And the bad guys can shoot a lot better now. Overall, it is a lot harder and will surprise veteran HL1 players.

Ahhh I thought it was harder, at least I know I'm not going mad now :) I started playing it today and I was like "I'm on 30 health again..this isn't like me. Also, I could have sworn that damn headcrab wasn't there last time..."

well that sounds cool. I'm ashamed to admit that I...um...never got round to finishing half life 1 for various reasons. but half life with awesome physics sounds like a pretty major change! majorer than water anyway.

Let me preface this by saying, I’m really not trying to be an assh*le here at all. I’m honestly interested about this…
Is it common in England to say “majorer?” In American English we say, “More major.”

Cannot pickup objects still in HL1, but there are places where the new physics come as a surprise :D
