Ive validated the files again (twice now!) using steam://validate/320 but it didn't work. I've also validated the half life 2 installation with steam://validate/220

Nothing works and you only have to browse the news sites and see that many have the same problem http://www.clanbase.com/news.php?nid=155153&mid=0&lid=0 , http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?comments=34696 http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=53180 , http://www.forumplanet.com/planethalflife/topic.asp?fid=2348&tid=1543661 etc etc :stare: instead of the majority saying wow this is cool or they dont like DM all I seem to be finding is ... nothing works now!

I'm staying away from any updates until I have managed to stutter my way through the last chapter of the singleplayer, been hell getting there with the load times and sound issue but better than run the risk of these "fixes" until they have been out for a day or 20.
