That should validate the files, worked for me

Cool, it worked. I think you have to double-click the HL2DM icon and when it doesn't load, do the steam://validate/320 thing. Thanks.

ive been hearing in the irc channel #halflife2 that the authentication server is timing out when steam trys to athenticate thats why no other games run
