anyone know how to change hl2 refresh rate

hey does anyone know how to change the refreshrate in hl2? its making me sick sometimes (i never have had this happen in 10years of FPS but) and i heard that rasing the refresh rate might help. im usin a 9800pro

-rate xxxxx is the network traffix rate in bytes/second
-refresh xxx should do the trick

90 is the standard fov
so setting it to 90 wont change anything.

90 isnt the standard, 90 is for vehicles and about 75 for normal movement, they changed it to give the level archetecture more depth.

cool, ill add that into the startup, maybe thats why i have been getting sick in the vehicles!! hopefully im almost done on that damn fan mobile

ATI tray tools is useful. It locks your refresh rate to whatever you set it to for every application.

He was talking about "-rate xxx" in the launch options of the game menu. Your are referring to "rate xxx" which would be part of the games cfg. They are two different things
