hl2 install problem ???

when installing hl2 there does not seem 2b a
option to install it to a different hd. stream
defaults it to C drive only. i have all my games
installed on H drive with C drive only for windows.

i thought it would be easy thing just to move it
to my H drive after installing it. but.......

after moving it, i go to play a game a stream
does not see hl2 on my C drive. it know i have
a stream account so thinking i have some
missing files it starts to reinstall missing files
back to my C drive. ie. the whole game again.

is there away to get around this problem as
i find having the game on my C drive really
slows my whole system up.

Half life 2 will be installed in the same Hd where you installe steam, so try installing Steam on the H: drive at first. This helped for me

same problem here, and I have valve installed on drive h: too and steam completly ignores them, he seeks only drive C: and I cant have the game there
