If memory serves....in the end of HL1 the G-man tells you that you can keep your hassard-suite becaused you've earned it...

yet in HL 2 you still have to go to kleiners lab to get suited up... :dork:

How would you have been inserted into C17 safely when wearing a bright orange hazard suit with the Black Meas logo on it?

Thats not a Plot mistake. LIke Varsity said. Aswell, its possible that many years have passed since the end of the first chapter in this saga. One might think a number of things could have happened during that time.

Yeah, we've been discussing this since before the game was released. Ol' G-Boy probably changed his mind. Maybe he found out about Kleiner's improved MK V HEV.

I think it's pretty obvious that Gordon does a timetravel/slow teleport to city 17. meaning that he steps right from the teleport in hl1 into the train wagon in city17

citizen: "uh...didn't notice you getting on"

so he should be wearing his hassard suite...of course it's possible that G-man used some of his magical powers to change gordon's outfit so he would better fit in, in city17....but then what's the point of telling us that we can keep our hassard suit because we earned it?

g-man: "you can keep your hassard suit gordon...well atleast untill you step into this portal that is..."*corrects tie*

Well, technically you do get to keep it, perhaps the Gman just somehow made sure that Kleiner made a new one ?

I think Gordon has just been traveling through time all these years. The end of half life 1 you are on the tram and walk into the portal. Half life 2 you awake with the G-Man on a train.

Half Life 2 you and Alyn go through the teleporter and come out instantly in there time, but its actually one week later.

So maybe all this time gordon has been simly traveling through time.. Maybe he stepped into the HL1 portal, and stepped out in the HL2 portal instantly inhis time, but years later in the future in real time.

Well I think that nothing at all in this story happened by chance. The g-man kept his word, by planting the suit somewhere where Gordon would have gotten to in less than half an hour. Do you really think the G-man would have just dropped Gordon in that particular train if the suit was with Eli in Black Mesa?

Gman would have probably teleported Gordon to somewhere closer.

Its all conjecture at this point. I do see where your going Prince. But by no means does the fact that the Civvy says he didnt notice him mean that Gordon came right from the endgame tram in HL1. GMan could just as easily have teleported Gordon there from a differnt point while Gordon was asleep. Like I said, Conjecture. We might never know.
