Does the priest actually die? (semi-spoiler)

Well once he opens the gate and lets you into the mines..he gets bombarded by zombies. I didnt want him to die so i threw a few nades at em :). But then fire erupts..and he's kinda standing in the middle of it but isnt burning. Is this just a coincidence that fire is there? Or was he intended to die after helping you..just like in every game/movie?

no he gets in the litte barn thing behind it and keeps shotting them while they try to walk through the fires.. not sure if he dies...

Haha yea,I really liked him. Im glad they really fleshed out the characters in the game. He better be back in HL3. Even if it is just a cameo.

I go pissed at him for closing the gate and sending me to what might be a darker place so i cheered the zombies up and helped them kill him... i threw rocks anf stuff at him...too bad FF is off tho'
