Stuck in the room with large pipes and rising water

I have turned the wheel on one of the pipes and raised the water level but cant seem to work out next move? any help appreciated!

Teh big pipe... swim troooouuuugh... and use ur brains

Go back to the room before the one with the pipes. Jump over the railings after you've killed the manhacks and swim through the huge pipe. You should be able to figure it out from there.

Swim thru the big red lit up passage under water into the next room. Under water there are boxes and round rope wheels. Use your pistol or crowbar to break the wooden planks holding them down. Once they float to the top, use them to jump to the next platform.

Now, I had problems finding the valve but the rest was just common sense. And yes, use your brain.

Or just don't kill the man hacks and just jump in don't resurface though as they will have fun cutting you to pieces as they did me but i got caught on the ladder, BTW does anyone find the ladders a bit annoying to get off.
