stuck, need help! beginning of sandtraps!

how do you get past the door contraption you reach after the two combine dropships drop a bunch of soldiers off near the beg of sandtraps

There are three batteries in that area that you have to place in the contraption in one of the buildings. The obvious battery of the three is actually in the building.

2 of em were in the building for me, then one is under or in a car outside in the car piel

I found one under the bath tub after hours of searching and an agrovated assault towards the tub with the manipulator :D
