Hey guys I have been having some SERIOUS coloring problems in Photoshop 7. I just installed it and when I first started it, it said something about my monitor profile not matching photoshop or something. I hit Use Anyway and all of a sudden all my colors are purple and black. Yep, purple and black are the only colors it will let me use and the color tab is all weirded out and blobby and warped... WHATS WRONG? Can someone please help me because I was really starting to get into Photoshop and I don't want to stop... I tried reinstalling and nothing worked... I think it might have something to do with my monitor but I am not sure... HELP PLEASE! :(

Try going to [ Edit ] > [ Color Settings... ] or ctrl + shift + k

Lots of crap in here you can change relating to your standard pallets(sp?) and such. Try messing around with this and possibly even searching more about this particular part of photoshop on google. I can't really help you out unless I see your configuration. Any way you can take a screen shot of this box for us and upload it?

yea usually if i have problems like that, its just a color pallette i loaded before time. if it just wont correct itself, then reinstalling would be a good idea

Edit --> Colour settings or SHIFT+CTRL+K and do set the settings as in the pic attached (just guessing to the solution)

could be a palette problem as desolate said
