Question on gravity gun *spolier*

Is the organic gravity gun able to lift living things in addition to dead things? IOW, can you lift up Barney and throw him around while he is still alive?

The answer is si, da, oui! There is no upgrade, the organic gun is a totally different gun that u get right at the end of the game and can only use it then in order to beat the final boss. BTW the organic gun looks so cool, it looks like an angel :)

The Manipulator is infused with Combine technology on the second to last level so that it picks up organic and inorganic things (strategy guide, page 265)

There's no final boss, you're final task appears to be to destroy the Citadel's generator.
