Are you tired of playing in servers that contain five speed hackers with aimbots?

Are you tired of immature clans that think they're better than everyone else that plays the game?

If you answered yes to these questions, TAW is the clan for you! The Art of Warfare is a mature, friendly multi-game clan that focuses on teamwork, communication, and having fun. TAW currently has over 550 members, and 25+ dedicated servers in 13+ games. We have just recently opened up a "Half Life 2" division which currently contains Counter Strike: Source, and will eventually include Day of Defeat: Source as well. We already have a 20 person CS: Source server and we plan to include many more servers as our member numbers rise.

Our main goal is to create a friendly gaming environment that is free from the racism and profantity that infests the rest of Counter Strike. We also plan to be fairly active on gaming ladders such as TWL.

If you want to join TAW go to www.theartofwarfare.net and fill out an application. We will NOT weed people out based on their skill, but you need to be 15+ years old and have a microphone (and Teamspeak).

Are you sure 550 is the "World's Largest" or is that like some little restaurant in Podunk calling their burgers "World Famous" without any evidence whatsoever? I'd be hesitant to make that claim with the level of popularity of the Internet and gaming in Korea and parts of Europe. If that really is the largest I will be rather disappointed.

True, we cannot be 100% sure that we are the largest, but in our 3+ years of being around and playing in many games, we have not come across a clan that is larger... If there is a larger clan, we have to be at least close to it.

So how do you pick who plays in clan matches? I mean, say 100 people sign up for the Counter-strike source part of your clan, and this other clan wants an 8vs8 clan match, how would you pick who plays?

Anyway, good luck with that.

Each division is seperated into "squads" of various sizes between 5-20 people. These squads are determined by what time you generally play. Usually, if a clan challenges us, a squad leader will volunteer his/her squad to play if he/she thinks most of the squad will be able to make it. Also, sometimes a clan will directly challenge a certain squad. Members of a squad then sign up for the match on a first come first serve basis.

That sounds pretty neat. What do you call your squads? The traditional Alpha, Bravo, et cetera?

Each division has a theme. For example, star constellations.

Maybe it's because they Headhunt players half the time, instead of openly showing they need players.

Wow some of you guys are harsh.

Why dont you look around and find me a game clan that has over 550 members?

TAW is big, we are in pretty much every game, check out our homepage and see for yourself.

We have ppl playing games from 1rst person shooters obviously but also flight sims like IL2.
Organisation is great, everything is split in different divisions.
We are looking for mature ppl who are serious about playing, playing as a team and having fun.

Yes, i'm part of that clan as you have guessed.

I am a member of TOG (http://www.theoldergamers.com) and we have over 6000 members. That's right, over six thousand....

Even with those numbers I can't say for sure that we are the largest.

Do you guys already play as a clan in Enemy Territory or not?

If you can, then I'm in!

Otherwise, I'm still in, but I have to think. Alot of people don't feel like this is their clan. I don't know about you guys but 550 members sounds like alot.

I'll reconsider and just take my time on this one. Do I have to have a microphone, though?

I mean I have one, but my voice sounds really gay. Trust me, if it sounds bad on camera and on a recording thing, then it will on this.

6000 members? how do half of you even play? I doubt that many people could fit into the servers. If you can then it must be full of you guys. Just imagine every kill thats made, "ha j00 n00b l4Wl i fvk1n pWn3d j00 n00b taht i5 a tast3 of t3h T0g clannnnnssssssss lawllawalawalalw laaaagin rofl"

I prefer solo play where you can do what you like and not worry about someone bitching about your every mistake or mishap

Actually same here Monger and I am here as I have just joined as well BUT the member list at TOG is now as below................

Threads: 202,156, Posts: 2,077,056, Members: 34,360 (As of 12 Nov 08)

I have been at TOG for 4 and a half years and run the '42 Division (yes an oldy but still a goody ;))
I was the 920th member to join back in June 2004 and they play every game on every console out there. All broken down into Divisions and squads and I have around 25 active players still competing in a RR comp after all these years :D

So TAW you guys have some hard core recruiting to do to catch us ;)
