I painted this a few months ago as a final piece for my AS in Art and Design. Our project was "expressive cityscapes", so I thought....what better cityscape to concentrate on than City 17! Plus it gave me an excuse for looking on halflife2.net for "work"! My claim was that the painting symbolised the impact of modern architecture on a traditional European city....or something like that!
It's an A1 acrylic painting, for which experimental mark-making techniques were used (i.e. paint was applied by brush, card, sponge and random flicking!). Well....hope you like it!
