grow up.
A zombie is a zombie, and a poison zombie i assume is the result of a poison headcrab controlling a human. A fast zombie is the result of attaching itself to a dog or animal i heard...something along those lines, perhaps even a big beaver. we'll see...

A Zombie is what you get when a HeadCrab attaches itself to the head of a host. It takes control of the nervous system and inevitably takes control of the "zombie"

I always thought headcrabs did NOT hijack the nervous system... Thus why they grow crap like claws and teeth from the ribcage.

Ehm..to control their host, they have to hijack their nervous system.

i think a fast zombie is a headcrab attached to a dead person. it's fast because the body's flesh 'n stuff is all rotted and it weighs less

There are three types of headcrab: normal, fast, and poisonous. The normal headcrab zombies are slow and dumb. The fast headcrab zombies are fast and furious. I don't know much about the poisionous headcrab other than the name.

well...just remember they say fast zombies are found in graveyards 'n stuff. which is why i think a fast zombie is just a headcrab attached to a dead person

Here's my guess: Regular Zombies are just the headcrabbed people we've seen before. However, the headcrab only supports the organs and systems of the host that serve it's purposes. So after time the parts which the headcrab needs (muscles, claws etc.) are enhanced, while the useless junk (skin, fat etc.) is eventually atrophied off leaving a trim and sleak zombie which also happens to apear decayed and corpselike.

more logical theory, gusolson

Not really. Just inject strings throughout the body and use the body like a puppet. But I suppose they do control the nervous system. I thought I read somewhere they didn't.

it's in the beginning of Opposing Force

a scientist says, "These crab creatures can completely control their host's nervous system."
