Halflife 2 on the ps3 and gamecube 2?

I watched an amazing episode of gamezville today on sky one. For anyone who doesn't watch the show its all about video games where supposidly 'pro' reviewers and presenters play video games and tell us about them.

Anyway, on the news section they said HL2 is coming to Xbox...which we all knew, but also they said on the playstation 3 and the gamcube 2. Does anyone know anything else about this, if its true or has any information. I had no idea...the guy on the show said it will look just as good as the pc version, but he lies surely. :P

Marky what are you talking about, alot of people here have consoles as well as pc's im sure. Mostly ps2's and xbox's im willing to bet. We do know our stuff as well.

On topic i dont think ill enjoy using the manipulator with analogue sticks, ill probably end up throwing a chair at alyx rather than a barn door...

Since they're trying to sell Source as a general purpose engine, it would make sense to add PS3/etc support to the code. And given the popularity of CS a console version would seem to make sense?

Koopa i said 'ps3' not ps2, i dont think the gamecube or ps2 could create a nice port even if valve tried really hard. The xbox is far more powerful so thats why its got the go ahead so far.

You must be completely insane if you think that the Gamecube's hardware is inferior to, of all things, the Playstation 2. Have you played Rogue Squadron 2? Have you even seen a single screenshot of any game with worthwhile graphics running on the Gamecube? Do you even know the specs of the PS2 and Gamecube?

And :laugh: at "It Cant Play M Rated Games". Seriously. You love Sony to death (I would bet my life on that), so perhaps you've heard of this game called Resident Evil. You know, the one that was on PS1. Yeah, that's on Gamecube now. And the graphics are at least on par with GT4.

Also, if Sony is really a genius company, why in the name of everything would they install a VHS player on their console? That's like putting a Betamax on the PS2. Either the PS3 developers took many successive hits of marijuana during its development, or you don't know nearly as much as you think you do about the PS3.

yes it does like on mario tony hawk nfl madden ncaaf 2005 but is it able to hold intense graphic from what ive seen there real deatailed thats why half life 2 gonna be pretty good game

As for consoles, anybody with a modded Xbox knows that no other system can touch it. We'll just have to see how things go for next gen consoles,. but really, PC will always be tops.
