I did a search, and seriously didn't find this...so heres the information.

I have been seeing questions where people have wondered if we (steam preloaders) will get HL2 by the retail release date.

November 16. There, I said it. It's been an unbelievably long and twisted road, but according to Vivendi, Half-Life 2 will be available both in stores and over Valve's Steam delivery service in less than a month. It'll be very interesting to see how well Steam does with such a major release. With the immediate appeal of getting to play Counter-Strike: Source upon pre-ordering via Steam, it's already a more compelling offer than waiting to buy it in stores. Digital distribution proponents are most certainly keeping both eyes peeled to see how this all shakes out.

I've not seen a link to that item but maybe because it's not new news.

Well in the Steam gold announcement, it says you can have HL2 once it is available in stores.

maybe valve should make a thing that tells you when you can play the game over steam... you know people could look at it and get the answers.

oh wait... they did.... its called steam.

according to the agreement Valve signed with VU Half-Life 2 is NOT allowed to come out ANY earlier then Nov16 (or whenever the day is when HL2 will hit store shelves)

Note that I said, "For those who were still wondering wether HL2 could be released as soon as it was in retailer's stores."

I would like to know down to the minute when this will be released (ex 12:01am 11/16/04) and if it's est or pst.
