Yes like the title says. I've been going crazy lately hearing all these guys talking about halo this halo that and half-life sucks balls. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to shut their big fat mouths up which isnt going to get me in trouble with the school? I've tried telling them about Half-Life2 and so on but they always have some way to get me. Not to mention I get gang raped if I even say something bad about halo. I need something to stop the madness. So many halo shirts........GOING CRAZY! AHHHHHH!
Please give me any suggestion on how to diss them good or something.

Halo 2 will be awesome. They have every right to want to play it. And if they think Half-Life is terrible, well, their loss.

Every last friend I have is drooling and dying over Halo 2.. THANKFULLY, however, I have a few (maybe 2 or 3) that know of and are anticipating HL2 as much, if not more than Halo 2.
Just print off of a few pictures of HL2, and bring them to school. ^_^.
They will wonder how anything can ever run it, and you can just laugh :).

Usually I would ignore them but absolutely no one likes half life 2. So i'm a complete loner in my school.

Screw that. I know plenty about gaming and I love Halo. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love HL2 as well. I talk to my friends about Halo because none of my friends will be playing HL2 and HL isn't worth talking about anymore. Halo creates good stories and fun strategies with friends. That's the best way to play it. HL2 will be fun when I'm chilling by myself. I like MP games better for the most part...so Halo 2 will take more of my time.

My school is full of Halo 2 fanboys as well, none of them even know who Gordon Freeman is, even if they played Half-Life...

My friend thinks that half-life 2 going gold is still a lie...he thinks Halo 2 will be way better than Half-Life 2, he isn't even excited at all about Half-life 2 even though he has an awsome PC. I heard some random kid in my math class talking about why halo 2 will be so cool, "You know them assault rifles? You can dual weild them! And you know those machine guns? You can dual those also! This game is going to be sick dude!".
most of these people own a COMPAQ and have never played a fps on pc. they suck.

heh I was just talking to my friend which is also another halo fanboy. I asked him why he thinks halo2 will be so much better and he said because you can hold 2 guns, you can kick people off veichles"no other games has that", there are dropships and its very intense.
I really hope thats not why people think halo2 will be better cuz if it is I must live in solitude away from halo people cuz thats just pathetic.

It's a sad thing but PC Gamers seem to be getting less and less, Console fanboi's just seem to be growing so it's not surprising that Halo 2 has more people ranting about it. Consoles are by far the most common utility for gaming, therefore more open to the public, especially when a console is "one size fit's all" but PC's need upgrading quite a lot.

Pffft, just roll out the manipulator and physics. Who cares if you can kick people off vehicles? Throwing a filing cabinate sounds so much cooler. And Dual weapons? who needs them when you can pick up almost anything and use it as a weapon??
Halo 2 doesn't have such an advanced Physics system (If at all....)

Somebody is insecure. ...thats okay. You'd probably die a lot at Halo 2, or even its predecessor, Halo. Dont shy it off either :D ...and I dont care what you say about the game. Plain and simple, you've got a bad case of "Green Envy".
...let me guess...you've tried to debate with them about the greatness of Half-Life 2? ...and where shunned...well, serves you right. Find your own damn interest group, and stick with it. Or make it yourself. :D

Yes, thats right. Just leave them alone. Newbies or not, nobody (especially Half-Life 2'ers) dont like their favorite game being dissed or talked about in a way, we know is not true. :P (Doom 3 invasion, anyone?)

That's just it. That's the only problem with HL2. You can't play it with a bunch of friends and have a good time. 1 person could play while everyone watches...but it's not that fun or memorable. The reason Halo is fun is because of the same-room MP action. THAT's why I like Halo. I'm not even gonna compare the Halo SP with HL2 SP. HL2's sp will own Halo's SP.

here everiobdy play CS and if they try to play another multiplayer game like UT2004 they said that suck,well they even didnt try to play it
I remenber when I go to cybercafes whit my brother and few friends of him and we play UT2004,we play whit boots cuz we are like 3, and everibody in the cyber is looking the game like saying "ohh whats that?"

Yeah, I'd be inclined just to be grateful that there are any games discussed at your school. When I was in education, gamers were hunted down like animals and lynched! Well... they were laughed at. And then some more.
It's all a matter of personal opinion, although if they genuinely believe HL2 won't be any good at all I'd question if they were actually gamers... it's the sequel to the most critically acclaimed PC game of all time for goodness sake. Even "noob" console owners should recognise and respect that... I'm not indefinitely striking Halo 2 from my play list...

Just mention the sweet sweet physics. I asked one guy. "If I half drove a vehicle off a cliff in Halo 2 what would happen?" he responded with "It would get stuck or fall off" I laughed and showed him the 1/2 hour long HL2 trailer.
Hmm I just though of something else. Get a laptop and a projector turn off all the lights in whatever room these guys are in (Usually the Library from my experiance) and play all the HL2 trailers.
