It's a loving facetiousness: we're really excited about Halo 2 also. Microsoft today confirmed that our feelings and your feelings are pretty much everybody's feelings, as the hugely anticipated sequel has already generated 1.5 million pre-orders in the United States alone.


This, Microsoft points out, makes Halo 2 set to bring in more sales in a 24-hour launch period than any single Hollywood blockbuster, ever.

HL2 will have 150 million!

Still, it would be interesting to see how Steam sales have gone even though it's not known to exist to the general public...

Quite a lotta pre-sales that. I rekon if we combined all the drool from the Halo 2 fanboys, and all the drool from the Half-Life 2 fanboys - we'd be able to create a second Ocean.

Great, now we are going to have an influx of Halo 2 fans comming here and saying that HL2 sucks because Halo 2 is doing so well with sales.

Anyway, that is a large number of sales. Of course, everybody expected the game to do well, so it isn't very surprising.

:dozey: Doom III fanboys used to come into our forums to bag on Half Life 2, Doom III pwned itself; it was shitteh. Now, Halo 2 is going to prove itself inferior against Half Life 2, why? Because I said so.
