Kinetic, I have a song called Pitch Black: Ape to Angel by Bluetech (album Sines and Singularities), what's the deal, does one of us have an inaccurate/fake track?

edit: nvm, it's a remix of the song you're listening to

KineticAesthetic
12-09-2008, 09:27 AM
Uhmmm... Pitch Black is a New Zealand dub/electronica group, and their most recent album is called Ape to Angel. I know for a fact that mine isn't incorrect. I think Bluetech is them? Maybe an alias? Okay he's not. Maybe it was a reference?

Pitch Black

Pitch Black is a New Zealand dub/electronica group

I made a track called Pitch Black .. I was making it during a hurricane and was afraid the power would go out any second and I kept forgetting to save my progress.

I've got to dig it out, and post it. It's dope as ell.

Indeed. I do so love Isis. Aaron Turner is probably one of the most talented singer/songwriters I've had the pleasure of submitting my ears to. Check out the Oceanic album if you haven't already. If you like Tides, you may also like a band called Latitudes. Real heavy, crushing stuff. Beautiful.

Gojira - Yama's Messengers

Mmmm, new Gojira is 'kin fantastic. A real step in the right direction though they haven't really done anything wrong yet. A strangly unique death metal band, and from France. Whudda thunk it, two oddities at once?

Squarepusher - Hard Normal Daddy

finally got down to listening to the album. Cooper's World and Rebus are 2 tracks that grabbed me immediately, very acid jazzy. I'll definitely have to give it more listens.

Okay so I was invited to go to a concert with The Rocket Summer and The Secret Handshake. For those who don't know, it's what I would call indie hipster shit aka what all the scene people listen to. I said yes considering I haven't been to a concert in forever, and it's with friends so it'll be fun no matter what. To my surprise, the music isn't too bad. It's mostly hit and miss, but... Well I guess you get it or you don't. It's not like musical taste across people can even be accounted for in any objective way. I personally think BoC is so beautiful / perfect because the way the music makes me feel (all warm and lo-fi and human yet surreal and detached, eerie in a comfortable dreamlike fashion) is something I enjoy and can't get anywhere else, at least not through listening to music. Aphex Twin occupies another individual facet of pure musical feeling.

You should try listening to Amon Tobin, he's so clearly a master that it's a little easier to appreciate the incredibly precise specificity of his sound.

TV on the Radio - Red Dress

I like how this song begins with "Hey jackboot, **** your war!"
