Hi. I'm having a problem getting my POP to launch.

I recently purchased a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro, and included with it was a 2 CD copy of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I've installed it, but when it's in the process of launching (the small logo box pops up) it just hangs there, and does nothing. I have to manually close it for anything to happen.

Any ideas what could be causing this? I got the newest catalyst drivers, too, so I don't think it'd be that (it doesn't even get into the game itself anyway)

System Specs:
ATI Radeon 9800
512MB RAM
Pentium 4 2.0GHZ
Windows XP

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here what you do, smack yourself in the head with a hammer and eventually you will forgot about Prince of Persia... Well eventually you might not remember anything..

Sensible answer-

You really could do with a new processor. It could be, especially if you have a load of spyware on your computer, that with all that junk AND pop trying to launch at the same time things could be getting crowded in there.
Download adaware and so a search. Then buy atleast a 3.0 Ghz p4, then you can get the most out of the rest of your computer.

I don't think it's my processor. I mean, all other games like Doom 3 and such run fine, smoothly. And I have very few processes running. I have adaware and run it at regular intervals, already ran it again to see if that was a problem, wasn't.

Anyone else have any ideas? Or experienced the same problem? :[

I had the same problem, also with a radeon9800. I disabled AA . Then it worked.
