Quake series vs. Doom series

I don't see why this hasn't been posted before, it's been an age old poll. Quake or Doom?
Vote on the poll. It's simple. I like Quake.
Why? Well, **** you.

Games for Quake includes: Quake and the mission packs (Scourge of Armagon, Dissolution of Eternity), Quake II and it's mission packs (The Reckoning and Ground Zero), Quake III: Arena and Team Arena.
The unofficial add-ons don't count.
And for Doom, it would be: Doom/Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Final Doom, Doom III.

quake 1 beats all other ID games (sans rtcw)
simply because it was so easy to mod for, I was doing it the week I got it.. and back then I knew nothing about modeling skinning or anything.. but I could slap together a tommy gun in qmdl, with some rudementary skin and edit the quake-c and compile.. easy as pie.

Never liked Quake really.

Quake 1 bored me (never played the MP of it) Quake 2 I only played on the N64, which was good fun, Quake 3 was horrible imo.

Doom is definitely better in my book.

I actually have quake 1, it's not bad i can see how it was a improvement over Doom 2(last doom i played i never got to Doom Final). guessing all the dooms used the same engine though.

Quake 3 has some decent mods..(Like NS:CO and Military forces(Military forces is a contineum from the air quakes) or truecombat)

I played Quake 2 on the pc and on the N64, i liked both the same really..

If i had do say anything.....It would be!!!!

There were 6, plus that lost episode 'Keen Dreams' one (which I didn't like as much). Those were great games, I'd like to see a sidescrolling game come out with modern technology as the official 7th episode. Every game is 3D nowadays, a 2D ultra high-res Commander Keen would be really fun. I miss the sidescrolling games, you can't replace them.
