It got a 9.5/10, IGN gave it a 9.4 out of 10. This is a sure buy for me. This game looks beyond cool.

Ack...somewhat of a strange problem for me. I'm definitely gonna buy Fable as soon as it comes out (not gonna wait)...but back home, 4.5 hrs away...I have $20 in credit at a local GameCrazy I am not about to let it go to waste (It expires in November).

There's only 2 games I wanna buy in the next few months...Burnout 3 and Fable...blah. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait 'till Oct. when I go home again to pick up Burnout 3 :(

Lots of people already have it, they say it's awesome, better than the original in many ways.

I'm buying it tommorow.

Looking very cool :)

There's so many good titles coming out over the next few months that Burnout 3 may have to wait.

Remember, Outrun 2 should be coming out soon (which was amazing on the arcade)

Typical isn't it - for a whole year there's sod all decent games coming out. Now there's about 10 all being released over the next few months :)

Played the demo, loved every bit of it. It's coming out this Friday here in Sweden, so I’m sure going to get it.

Holidays.

I dunno. Spetember is hardly the holiday month.

There's more decent games coming out this month than any Christmas I can remember.

hehe :)

Go on - get an Xbox. They're pretty cheap these days (especialy second hand) There's so many good games coming out for the system that it's well worth a purchase (although I still prefer the GC :D)

There's little difference between the versions. The Xbox version looks slightly better and has a more stable framerate - you can also play it online. So it's probably the wiser choice (but there really isn't much in it)

Since I have a gamecube, and don't have the money to buy an xbox or ps2, I'll buy Flat-out for pc when it's out.

btw, %#(*^@!!#* DAMN AAARGHH I was soooo looking forward to burnout 3.... no gamecube version... *snif* Boohoohoo!!!

Got B3 today. This game definitely earns every tenth of a point that Gamespot gave it. The best arcade racing game I've ever played.

Definitely get the Xbox version. For one reason and one reason alone. The soundtrack for this game sucks really really bad, it's totally necessary to get the Xbox version just for the custom sountrack option.

It's too much fun, i've just played about an hours worth of the road rage gameplay type, and i want to play it some more!

It is the driving game i have been looking for, one which focuses on destruction but you are still able to race in it.

In a word, awesome :D

OMFG It's f^CKING AWESOME /caps. Seriously, I've played it for like 5 hours straight now (I have a headache, which happens when I play anything too long, lol). Go out and rent / buy it without any hesitation, it's definately worth it.

Just keep playing. As you win more races, crash modes, road rages, etc., more levels will be unlocked. :naughty:

No the cars arent real---theyre modeled after real cars though. The back of the case says there are 67 Vehicles (including Semi's , buses, fire trucks, hot rods) good stuuff :naughty:

Yeah, it's called crash mode.

I'm having a lot more fun on Road Rage mode this time around, it's just so damn fast and fun.

Hahaha man, not only is there a map like that, but there's an entire mode like that! :D

It's called crash mode like nw909 said. Basically, you start at the beginning of a straight away and you upshift as quickly as you can - you can also use your special "boost" to go faster - and then you ram head on into a busy intersection and see how much damage you can do. Way too much fun. :p

Anyone playing online? If so, be sure to check out for Fastson3, that's my name when I'm playing.

My personal favourite mode is Road Rage, so fun to take down the opponents, especially on the online-mode when you take down someone and then hear them say/scream something like "Don't think you will get away with that" (someone actually said that to me when I pwned him :D).

Took some screens when playing online.

I had my ps2 set up on my tv tuner card, but there was a delay between the card and the pc. so when i pressed a button, the action wouldnt happen for about half a second.

LOKE:
Do you have it for ps2 or xbox? I'm going to get a router for my dads house so I can play it online on my ps2.

I'm curious, you guys with the ps2 version of this game, when youre at the menus, does the screen flicker like a tiny little bit? LOok at the blue boxes and tell me please... I only notice this in the game when i really look, or the sky is dark. Thanks

Dunno, how can I check?

When you start up the game, it will ask if you want to play the game at 50 HZ or 60 HZ.

Could it be just a tv setting?

Hm, maybe... I can ask my brother tomorrow (he’s smarter than me at technology ;)).

I just returned Burnout 3 to Blockbuster last night. Having played it for 3 days...I've had my fill. I would've had tons more fun with it had my roomates played and enjoyed it...or if I still had Xbox Live. Just a singplayer experience isn't grounds for buying this one if you ask me. I still had fun with it before I returned it...but I could feel myself enjoying it less and less already.
