Red Orchestra 3.0 any good?

I'm currently downloading Red Orchestra for UT2004. Has anyone played it before? Is it worth the nearly 500 meg download? The reason I guess I'm downloading it is because I've heard pretty good things about it from Unreal websites, but their opinions are biased. :monkee:

yeah, RO is a great game. not sure how it changed in 3.0, but in any case 2.0 was really fun.

I personally haven't tried it out, but those who have it say it's the best mod for the game so far.

I think it's worth the download, 500 megabytes isn't that much. (depending on what internet connection you have however, but it shouldn't be that much of a problem unless you're on 56k)

Cool, thanks guys. Yeah it should take a couple of hours to download the 500 meg, so it's not a huge deal. I wonder what the difference between version 2.0 and 3.0 is? I heard that they introduced vehicles for it or somethin' recently. I'm surprised there aren't more TC's availabe for UT2004, 'cause I think there's potential for a wide variety of mods for it. I mean I downloaded Hollow Moon I think it's called? I hated it. I downloaded it 'cause it was recommended to me. But RO looks a mile ahead of that game, so I should be safe.

i didn't play 3.0 but 2.0 wasn't anything special. Unless you are hard for cash I recommend buying battlefield 1942 or Call of Duty (new expansion coming I can't wait!!!)

Wasn't anything special? Maybe you should stick to your turn corner and spray games. Red Orchestra puts a lot of commercial games to shame. Have fun with your cash-in expansions.

Very cool mod, the aiming is good, the 3D sniper scope is cool, the vehicles are cool, except runing to a tank with no gunner only for the driver to immediatley switch and mow you down.

its definently the best mod for ut2004 so far, its very fun... easy to learn but hard to master!

I hope they win the MSU so they get the license to the engine. Then we'll see something even better...
