aww no! :(

i never wanted to see a game made of Scarface. ;( it'll just ruin the universe the film created.

Graphics are terrible, I was reading about it in EGM and it doesn't sound too good.

if you think a video game will ruin a good movie then you are an idiot..

Mafia ripped off the original Scarface theatrical poster.

Well, Scarface was a huge inspiration for Vice City, so it's hardly surprising is it?

As for the game...well, Scarface is pure brilliance as a film, so if they mess it up I'll be slightly annoyed.

well i'm hard pressed to find a game that has done justice to it's film counterpart. they invariably turn out shite, trying to appeal to too much of the market at once, and fall flat on their face.

it just cheapens everything. turns it into a cash cow.

so, who wants to see Schindler's List: The Game? :hmph:

or maybe what hes saying is that the game wont ruin the movie. the movie will always kick ass. *pats scarface dvd*

yeah i know what he thinks about it, and i appreciate that fact. but that's not how i'm looking at it.

how about if someone snaps up the rights to make a game about The Shawshank Redemption? similar to that Prisoner of War game, where you have to take it up the arse from fellow prisoners then you have to try and escape.

or a game based on the movie Casablanca, where you have to build and manage your own bar. complete with theme tunes and quests like 'serve 100 cocktails in 5 minutes'.

or a game based on Raging Bull, where you have to fight in the ring and win to unlock different levels and different bouts.

^that's where i'm coming from. it just cheapens everything. in my eyes there's no justification for making a game about Scarface. why add to the film if it's only going to be a game on rails? what's the point? for me, it'll just spoil it. but anyway i don't think i'll play it when it comes out. but that's just me.

anyway that's my justification for not wanting to see a Scarface game. respect my opinion on this like i have yours. or else.

hmmm if I were you I wouldnt waste my time answering kidrock ...he's not exactly a mental giant

no game will ever compare to a movie, but they shouldnt be compared to each other ...not until game graphics can achieve the same visceral experience we're used to in movies

It's a console game so I'm sure it'll be dumbed down, but we'll have to wait till it actually comes out to make a final judgement

ill be pissed if this sucks, which it sounds like it will. there are much better movies to convert into games. come on, hardboiled is practically a videogame. over-the-top yet totally cool action sequences set to an easily game-applicable plot. eg: the tea house shoot out, gunfight on the docks, the warehouse (with dirt bikes), tequilla gunfight with mad dog, gets locked up with all of those guns... come on, its just dying to be made into a cool game. i hope some one makes a good mod for it using source.

The developers should be lined up against the wall and shot. What the hell? This BS about Tony Montana surviving and rebuilding his empire is completely stupid, it sounds like a plot a 12 year old who just saw the movie would think up. There is no way I will ever play this trash cash-in game.
