"This will run on my 486"
This quote inspired me to create this thread. Well I can honestly tell you my first computer was a 486, the specs can be found below.
Processor: 486DX/66MHz
Memory: 8Mb Ram
Hard-Drive: 200Mb
Graphics: 2Mb intergrated Graphics
Sound: Sound Blaster (forgot which type)
The computer was shipped with two games:
Steller7
Kings Quest 6 (I think)
But the game I liked playing on was Transport Tycoon which I bought immediatly when it came out.
The computer that I got now is:
Processor: AMD ATHLON XP2000+
Memory: 768Mb Ram
Hard Drive: 40Gb
Graphics: 64Mb GeForce4 MX440
Sound: Augiby2

Can't quite remember all the specs:
Amstrad 286
4 or 8 MB RAM
120MB HDD (I think)
PC speaker sound only.
First game was F-19 stealth fighter and some Grand Prix game (well the first I remember).
Got a load of random games bundled onto floppys, probably still got them somewhere.
I remember when the first doom came out, it only just ran on this, at about 5 fps, lol and pc speaker sound, no music.
Next comp was a 386 laptop, then after was a P120

Some stupid golf game on PC with a two color screen (orange and blue? WTF!!!)
I had a 128 mn ram, 32m graphics card, 1.5 ghz uber- shiity machine before i got this one. the first games came with it in a bundle- "lander", which i couldnt control; mechwarrior, which i couldnt complete the first level; rollercoaster tycoon (which was fun) and some rally game the i hated.
overall i thought PCs were pretty shit- bear in mind that i had a playstation and it was about 5 years ago :P

Hugo's Haunted House on a .286. I could hardly even play it let alone solve any puzzles, so I just hung out in the scientist's laboratory and get shrunk and stuff. :D

An age old Atari was my first... And after that an uber DX4/100.
I cant remember my first games... I do remember one though: Corncob. Shooting triangles and spheres is so cool! :p
Actually it was a pretty advanced game, sort of like a primitive BF1942 without multiplayer.

I was too young to remember stats but It was a AST comp... my first game was DOOM!!!!
The first all new PC I bought and built myself was my AMD Athlon 600MHz PC.
The first PC my parents had and that I played on was a Tandy Z80 (Motorola) with Tank and Space invaders which they got back in 1983-84. Then they got a 8086 based Sanyo and a 10MB harddrive a few years later I believe, woo hoo!

I am pound to say that my first PC game was HL1. Yes, HL1, and I was naive enough to belive that all games on the PC would be so good.
I played it originally on a 133 CPU, 32RAM, no graphics acceleraton on 600x400 (software). Good times.
