Good news for all football fans.
I personally can't wait, PES3 was and still is in a league of its own, now with Live support Fifa won't be able to hold a light to Pro Evo, i just hope average joe sees it the same way and doesn't fall for the marketing crap EA brainwash people with every christmas...

Not got an XBox, not getting one. Will there be a way to play over the net using your PS2 for FREE?? That'll tide me over until the PC port arrives.

Surely the PC version will support online play aswell... it's the easiest platform to do it on.

You have got to be joking.

The PES/WE series is better than the Fifa series in every conceivable way. Not just by a little bit either ....... by miles. No serious footy fan would choose Fifa over PES (that is, unless they were completely insane and liked shoddy gameplay that doesn't resemble the beautiful game in the slightest)

Phew - had to get that off my chest.

(the latest Fifa 2004 isn't that bad actually, better than previous incarnations. It's still no way near the quality of PES/WE)

With PES3 they didn't really port it, but used some kind of interpreter (or whatever, don't know details) to make the PS2 code run on PCs. Or something like that anyway. Point is, they were rather lazy that time, so they might be lazy again and just drop the multiplay for a pc port.
