Driv3r - What a Disappointment!

Driv3r "the gta killer" - Yeah right! :angry:

I've just finish the game and the graphics are crap! You watch the cutscenes and dribble :O then it goes to ingame and the graphics look like there from Driver 2! (well not quite that bad but you get my drift) The only good thing in the game are the car crash's and the cars ain't that good looking (until you crash them) it probaly seems worse then it is because i've been waiting so long to get this, also the missions are way to repetitive!!

Yeah. I agree with you 100% bud7miker. This game was so hyped and looked so good, I bought it the day it came out. I beat it. Then...I traded it back in. The BIGGEST disappointment of the year! :( :( :( :flame: :flame:

...and so ends the incredible adventure, of why I didn't buy Driv3r. I have to say, be wary of any commercial product that uses leet in it.

Driver 3 is an awesome game, I love it. The graphics are better than GTA's, the cities are better, the chases are much better, the vehicles are better, and the on foot control is better. It doesn't have as much replay but that's the only area it's lacking in from GTA. I love the game, and I'm still having a lot of fun with it, especially the director mode.

The game got a bad rap. The number one complaint is glitches, but I haven't experienced nearly as many as GTA and none of them harmed gameplay. Another complaint is that the on foot control sucked, which is just stupid. It lets the player aim for himself, which is great, they just suck and find it too hard. GTA's lock-on system was ridiculously simplified. The cities are huge, good looking, detailed, and fun to explore. It's just a great game.

That being said, GTA does have a lot more replay value. The gameplay is worse and extremely simplified, but there is a lot more stuff to do after you finish. For this reason I have to say that GTA3/VC are better games, and that SA will be even greater. But that doesn't take away from Driver 3, it will always be the game I turn to for good car chases, until Driver 4.

the only fun part was running over people in Istanbul so their bodies would go flying into the ocean. The missions were lame as hell, as well as the graphics, although the crashes were nice.
