There'd been a rumour that the next issue of PC Gamer would have a HL2 preview/review.

It doesn't apparently.

Nope, It had a section on "2004's hottest shooters" of which HL2 wasn't included. :(

Surprise, surprise... wait. no.
If they don't have it next month... HL2 will never come out. I'm hardly surprised.The magazine was put to press about a week ago, and Valve didn't have a complete version, especially if CS:S is 'part' of the 'finished' version.

How did we all know about this issue weeks ago though? Someone must have had it, i'm pretty sure certain people get their issues a week or two ahead of everyone else for some reason or another.

My rough estimate is early September, by that time HL2 might(!!!) be out.

I think it is coming next month, they say they have a game as big as Doom 3....what could it be? The only game I could think of would be Half-Life 2....

As some people said - Sims 2.

Although most of the people I know think it's crap - far from revoltionary or "senses-shattering" - it's still a pretty famous series with many copies sold worldwide, which unfortunately is a fact.

It's also probably one of the games that is very famous amongst females = more audience.

Hmm I thought I should voice my opinion on PCGamer, the august Issue is talking about pre-E3 events and games. They're so far behind on everything that it's just not worth buying if you have an intarweb connection. That's my two cents ;)
