View Full Version : Random sketch thread for all
The Dark Elf
09-08-2004, 01:57 PM
Since now and again the odd thread crops up where people post random stuff, decided why not just have a single sticky so everyone can just post random sketches and drawings that you've done. Doesn't matter what subject they are, though no porn sorry :)
One rule. You can't post in here unless your post contains a sketch, drawing etc..

Inspired by Gigers atom children.
http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload0/atomkid.jpg
We, Atom Children
We are greatful to our begetters
who, at the big bang,
after the Swiss atom regulation
dropped themselves in a reflex
and counted to fifteen like good people,
otherwise we wouldn't have been here.
We atom children do not wish to moralise
blame no one;
we simply want
you to get used to us and learn to appreciate us.
But we cannot promise you anything
for when we have taken over,
you will be thought of as abnormal
and will probably suffer under it.
- H.R.G., 1963 -
Yay for the random sketch thread!
i cba to do one now, so i rooted through some old school papers and found these (most done in school time).
The first is a cover for an alien comic i never really started (look at teh shadows!!)
The second is... er... link fighting a big, well, thing.
The third is some random drawing of a "hero" about to get blown up- make what you will of this, i just thought it was profoundly random :) make a movie of it if you like, just give me some money if its a smash hit.
The fourth is a random robot drawing i did in pen.
and the fith is a marine vurses tons of H.R. gigers aliens. Go aliens!!! kill him! look, theyre coming out of the vents!! he he. this is the most recent one i did.

long strokes, in layers, start with darker colors and shades then work up, build it up layer on layer to give it a more three dimensional appearance, lose strands aswell, and a little imperfect.

Well, I hope this isn't too explicit. It shouldn't be. There is nudity I guess, but not 'exposure'. Mods feel free (not too free) to edit/delete this if it should be a link instead of img tags or whatever.
Anyway, jsut so you know, this is not intended to be sexual. Maybe sensual, hmm. No she's not masturbating in case anyone wonders.
Well, this is what I draw, about 65% of the time (conservative estimate), so here ya go.
I'm not completely happy with it. Some bits are messed up, like the hand, obviously. It's a WIP(maybe)... :|

No reference.Good, thought it might be your wife or something
I actually think it is quite good, especially for no reference. I think that, generally, try not to make the facial features so apparant when drawing pretty girls, especially in light line-sketches like that. She probably gets her manliness from that nose, and the big mouth, which are thick and stuff.
But the body was done quite well, and the mullet guy was awesome. :D

Sad to say but the only thing I can draw fairly well is mostly-naked women  (but not really all that sad :E)

Nice one, I'm crap drawing with my left hand.
Of course you could have cheated and drawn your left and flipped it - would have been easier ;)

actually, I drew my right hand with my right hand. :D
I can't draw with my left either :x .
