sound in my doom3 doesnt work

ive downloaded the new ati drivers 4.7 and still the sound doesnt work....

any idea's? :(

What sound card do you have? Doom 3 requires 5.1 MINIMUM if you don't have that you will have sound problems.

i have a audigy 5.1 sound card

Are your speakers plugged in?
Do you have your cards latest sound drivers?
Do you have ears?
Have you tried tweaking your sound in the ingame settings?

dont think i have the latest driver..gonna go download it. no i dont have ears, why would that be a problem?
