Doom3 - Hidden Secrets Found! (worth looking)

To save from spoiling, i'll stay out of detail.

Just before you face your final battle, you will find yourself walking through tunnels. In one of these tunnels there will be a wall that looks different. If you go up to this wall and look under a few bricks you will see a panel hidden away that says 'id' - this is a button, if you activate it, the wall will move to reveal the secret.

The secret area looks pretty sweet, and there is a PDA on the altar from ID Software themselves. There are loads of 'emails' in there thanking the fans, thanking each other and just random funny stuff that's worth reading.

Just thought i'd let you guys know, it's something funky to check out.

I found a semi-easter egg myself. It's a news paper in the Kitchen/Cafeteria area near the Turkey Puncher game. It has the Quake 3 girl with green clothes (green thong too) & a sort of MDK mask on her face.

i found one too..on one of the magazine covers in Delta Labs (i think it was there) there is a cover of a gaming magazine saying something like "Quake 49 will beat Turkey punch" i dont remember exactly..

found another..hmm i guess u can call it an easter egg..i was nocliping around on the last level and found the place where the last scene of the game takes place..

You have to stand on the elevator-pole thingy, and just before you reach the apex, you have to fire a rocket into a space in the wall to open a door or something. But if you cheated your way in there, you could see it was one of the dev's heads on a pole!

I found the chaingun in there, it may be different depending on the game difficulty or it may just be random.

I thought it was funny that site had about 2,000 hits when I went there, and the game wasn't even officially released. I wonder if that's ID's way of seeing when it leaked.

Hmm so that means you can get the chaingun earlier than usual right? Because I got lured into a room with lots of zombies to get it.

Yeah it seemed like I got it before I was supposed to, because I never got any ammo for it for a long time after... I hope the baddies I killed with that realised how special they were.

if you type an oldschool doom cheat in you get a message in the console
and i saw this posted before but for people who missed it:-
if you look at the guy who gives you the PDA's computer screen you get annother message...

this is not really a secret.. just a fun little thing i read over at the planetdoom forums.

at the beginning of the game when u are at the front desk and recieve ur PDA, the guy is typing " That new guy keeps hovering over me. He keeps reading everything I type. STOP IT!"

if u walk over and look closely, u can see it on the left side of the screen of his laptop :P

Also you get the BFG earlier then expected aswell if you look through your PDA Messages about the Chief of Security having one in his office but the door code he puts down is different due to the 0 not being used.Im sure you all found this but when you get the BFG no "Tip" comes up and you dont see ammo till you kill Sarge and get his one,which also brings up a "Tip"

I think there are 2 martianbuddy cabinets, on with a chaingun and one with a bfg. They both have the same code.

yeah that's true, although I can't remember getting the BFG from a martianbuddy.com locker - I got it from the BfG labs.
