I know there's a folder entitled Source Games as it is, but seeing as this does not relate to CS: Source, here we are.
Apart from the new Vampire: Bloodlines game, there aren't to my knowledge any games announced using Source. Does anyone else know any different?
Secondly, does anyone know exactly what the status on that game is? I know it has to come out after HL2 but is there any word as to whether it's finished and being held back by HL2?

Nope, I haven't heard of any other games that will use source. I'd imagine there must be companies planning on it though.
I don't have any direct quotes, but I think I heard/read that a release was slated for later on in the fall so I don't think HL2's delay has affected it. Though I'm not totally sure about that.

I think there's three or four unannounced source games on the horizon. Aswell as the regular crop of conversions, DOD, HL1, Op4 etc. and so on.

Arkane Studios (Arx Fatalis people) are supposedly using it to make a game

Yea, at E3 they interviewed someone from bloodline and he said that they are really far in deveopment and hope to see it in the fall or something like that.
EDIT: Since were on the topic of bloodline, does anyone know if this game is open ended for you to go anywhere and do anything without following the story (ex. morrowind), or is it a rpg like final fantasy were there are side quests to go on, but you dont realy have a lot of freedom and you have to go with the story if you want to advance.

I don't think it'll be as open ended as MW
btw, I'm a vampire in that now *grins*

2 of which are RPG's apparently.
I read it in an interview with Gabe. I may dig up the interview if a bolt of motivation hits me.

Here's a bunch of info, including 3 developer's interviews.

oh ok, becuase i saw many different screenshots that made it seem very open ended, like one was someone robbing a store, so i thought oh maybe you can rob a store, and another one was you were in someones apartment and you would kill them, meaning you can enter buildings, and so on. The game does look cool but im going to wait for a review before i buy it.

Have Valve actually said the Op4 will come out in Source? I thought they'd said somewhere that it was just HL1 - although I hope you're right.
I'm very interested to see what other developers use Source and how they use it.

Beta test signature. Final signature may be delayed
Hahaha, great sig Mr-Fusion, it made me laugh.
I haven't really kept up with Bloodlines, but what i've seen looks sweet. I read a few interviews where gabe said not only gaming companies will use the Source Technology. I remember the military looking into it. Pretty neat.

if you can remember the DNF bink video (think it was 2002), she looks like the waitress in that turned into a zombie

I think it will be like the first Vampire: the masquerade(sp?) just more advanced and bigger scale...but I think it's more comparable with that than Morrowind.
