The 22 second clip sounded just like Tool but this full song does not. The few vocals that echo in the background do not sound like MJK. ... I still hope Tool is involved.

Oh, it's Tweaker! I wondered what they sounded like.
So it WAS Chris Vrenna after all. :P I knew all that Tool stuff smelled a bit.
[EDIT]: For those who don't know, Tweaker is a side project band from Chris Vrenna, who used to drum from Nine Inch Nails. Vrenna took over from Trent Reznor on Doom 3 sound after Trent backed out to finish the new Nine Inch Nails album. There were rumours that Tool got involved with Doom 3, and the clip sounded awfully like Tool. But now we know it's by Tweaker, which is basically just Chris Vrenna. Although, it could be possible that Tool got involved with Tweaker somehow (minus Maynard).

Prepare to be disappointed then, it's doubtful Doom3 will have any in-game music.
doom3 will have atmosphereic and ambient music. scaryness.

I would rather have seen NiN finish their job on Doom 3 - but i guess reznor had more important things to do, like a new album....Which all in all is'nt really such a bad thing :P

Doom 3 IS more important that another NIN album ... but on the other hand NINs last album was thier best to date.

I find it funny that Trent went to finish the new NIN album, and yet Doom 3 comes out first. Typical Reznor.

I hope id at least port some DooM 1 songs to DooM 3, perhaps towards the end when the "scaryness" factor becomes less important, such as "E1M1". Such a classic.

The problem with the Doom soundtrack is that most of it steals from other songs.

Really? I remember there's a song in Doom that sounds similar to a part in Metallica's "Metal Militia".

Wow, I never realized that. I hope that ID got permission, even though those songs do fit well into doom. Judging from that site though, they probably didn't.

Doom and Doom II's soundtracks are still ****ing awesome, I've been replaying the games these last few days and I forgot just how good some of the level music is.
